Compliance & Grants Management with CAPGEMS
Capital Access began supporting Lackawanna County in 2022. We evaluated their program using the DOS method and integrated our proprietary CAPGEMS, our proprietary system to manage online applications, disburse funds, and retain records.
This process allowed Lackawanna County to manage more than $11 million in grants and roughly 5,200 applications—within just five months.
THE RESULTS
The collaboration between Capital Access, Lackawanna County, and its community partners, resulted in 227 grants that helped approximately 2,000 residents avoid eviction. This success led to the county receiving additional funding.
Delaware County, PA (DelCo)
CAPGEMS Emergency Rental Assistance
Delaware County, Pennsylvania (DelCo) contacted Capital Access because they’d never operated an Emergency Rental Assistance (ERA) program and suddenly needed one after the COVID pandemic.
Capital Access helped The Delaware County Emergency Rental Assistance Program and its community partners to structure its vital program, which was funded by a $79 million grant. We also used our CAPGEMS system to build the robust software platform DelCo used for case management and for the ERA program.
THE RESULTS
DelCo was able to serve their community at a crucial time by administering its funds. The County processed more than 11,000 grants. Because of its success, the federal and state governments awarded DelCo ERA an additional $10.73 million the following year.
